Police said a New York woman is facing a prostitution charge after an investigation into a spa in Canton.
Canton and Simsbury police, along with detectives with the state police special investigation bureau, executed a search warrant at the Luxe Relaxation Spa House, Inc. (Canton Spa) on Thursday. The spa’s location was on Route 44 (Albany Turnpike).
The warrant was a culmination of an investigation alleging solicitation and acts of prostitution were happening at the spa. The New York woman was an employee at the spa and was charged with prostitution and was released on a $50,000 bond.
The case remains under investigation by the Canton Police Detective Division. Anyone with information is asked to call Canton police at 860-693-0221.
