As is their fall tradition, ESPN NBA Senior Writer (and Blazers Edge alum) Ben Golliver gathered with his fellow analysts at “The Worldwide Leader” to do their annual rankings of the NBA’s Top 100 players. The exercise highlights the best players across the league, regardless of team or position.

This first installment of the ranking was published today. It covers players ranked from 100-51. Four Portland Trail Blazers made the list so far.

  • Donovan Clingan debuted in the rankings at #95.
  • Jrue Holiday moved up 9 spots from last year, rising from #91 to #82.
  • Ja Morant fell 44 spots from #33 to #77.
  • Damian Lillard was listed at #69 after not being ranked last season due to injury rehabilitation.

What are your thoughts on these preseason rankings? About right for the Blazers? Too high or low? And where do you predict Deni Avdija will fall in when the 1-50 rankings come out?
