A man is facing charges after he broke into and robbed Feasterville Laundromat twice in the span of three days, police said on Monday.
According to investigators, 37-year-old Stanley Petroski, of Philadelphia, was seen on surveillance video breaking the laundromat in Feasterville, Bucks County, at around 2:15 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 17, by using a metal cutting tool to get in through the back of the business.
Petroski, who spray painted the camera to try to hide his identity, got away with $3,500 from the business’ bill to bill exchanger, police said.
Then, on Saturday, Sept. 19, again at around 2:15 a.m., police said that Petroski broke a second time and took $4,000 from a second change machine. The business’ owner had cleaned the surveillance camera, which caught Petroski for a second time, police said.
During the investigation, detectives also learned that Petroski had been previously arrested for robbing Feasterville Laundromat once before, in 2022. In the first incident, Petroski took an entire bill to bill exchanger, police said.
An arrest warrant was issued for Petroski and he was located at a CVS in Feasterville on Sunday, Sept. 20, police said. However, when officers went to arrest Petroski he resisted, police said, and attempted to grab an officer’s holstered handgun.
The officer was able to prevent Petroski from getting the gun, and he was ultimately taken into custody, police said. He faces two charges of burglary and other charges related to the thefts, as well as charges for resisting arrest and attempting to disarm a law enforcement officer.
As of Monday night, Petroski remained at Bucks County Jail with $250,000 bail, according to court documents.
