South Carolina had Umeozulu on its roster for three seasons. The former four-star played in 36 games during his time with South Carolina. He contributed in 12 games during the 2025 season. The 6-foot-6, 240-pounder finished his time in Columbia with 30 total tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks.
Alabama will likely line the edge defender up at the wolf linebacker position. This is where Yhonzae Pierre is expected to start for the Tide in 2026. Fortunately for Umeozulu, the Tide uses multiple wolf linebackers in different packages.
Alabama has now landed seven defenders from the transfer portal.
