Penn State closed out non-conference play in impressive fashion with a 55-13 blowout victory over Buffalo. Now they prepare for the schedule to grow more difficult with the Big Ten schedule looming.
The Nittany Lions are a 9.5-point favorite over Wisconsin, which will serve as the first Big Ten game of the Matt Campbell Era for Penn State.
Wisconsin moved to 2-1 with a 54-10 victory despite a slow start. The Badgers lost their season opener to Notre Dame. After hanging with the Irish into the second half, Notre Dame was able to pull ahead for a 41-13 victory. Wisconsin beat Western Illinois 36-9 in week two. Saturday will also be the first Big Ten contest of the season for the Badgers.
Penn State and Wisconsin last met in 2024, a 28-13 victory for the Nittany Lions in Madison. Current Virginia quarterback Beau Pribula helped lead Penn State to victory after Drew Allar was forced out of action for the night with an injury. Penn State has a current six-game winning streak over Wisconsin, beginning with a 24-21 upset victory to close out the 2012 season.
