A Philadelphia man has been sentenced to 27 years in prison for sexually abusing an 11-year-old girl, among other victims.
The crimes of Bobbyjean Orak, 31, began in February 2022, when he, 27-years-old at the time, entered an online relationship with a then-11-year-old girl.

Orak concealed his identity, including his age and gender, and began a sexual relationship with her.
The girl and other victims sent Orak sexually explicit photos and videos. He also obtained child sexual abuse material depicting his 11-year-old victim.
Messages between Orak and the girl revealed descriptions of sexual acts he wished to perform on his victim.
In July 2024, Orak encouraged the victim to leave her Philadelphia home in the middle of the night and transported her to New Jersey.
They moved between hotels to evade law enforcement, during which Orak sexually exploited the girl and kept her isolated from her family.
During this time, Orak committed several gas station robberies across Burlington County to fund their hotel stays, officials said.
The FBI led a month-long investigation which ended in locating Orak and the victim in a hotel in Galloway, New Jersey.
Law enforcement apprehended Orak, and the girl was reunited with her family.
Investigators later searched Orak’s cellphone and online accounts, discovering over 1,000 images and videos of child sexual abuse material involving his victims.
The New Jersey District Attorney’s Office announced Orak’s charges in August 2025, including production of child pornography, transportation with intent to engage in criminal sexual activity, and enticing a minor to commit unlawful sexual acts.
“There is no greater duty than protecting children from those who seek to exploit them. For years, the defendant groomed a vulnerable child before transporting her across state lines to commit horrific sexual abuse. After a month-long manhunt, the FBI and our local law enforcement partners apprehended the defendant and discovered that this child was not his only victim, but one of many that he targeted and exploited. Those who prey on our children should know this: our office will relentlessly pursue them, aggressively prosecute them, and hold them fully accountable under the law,” said U.S. Attorney Robert Frazer.
After pleading guilty to a five-count indictment, Orak was sentenced to 27 years in prison, followed by a lifetime of supervised release.
