Series of earthquakes strike near Cloverdale

A series of earthquakes struck near Cloverdale on Saturday morning, according to the United States Geological Survey.

The first was a 3.8 magnitude earthquake that hit at 12:57 a.m., 4.7 miles east-southeast of Cloverdale.

The second one, a 2.8 magnitude quake, hit hours later at 4:35 a.m., 4.4 miles east-southeast of Cloverdale. It was followed by a 2.7 quake that hit at 4:50 a.m., 4.8 miles east-southeast of Cloverdale.
