Brian McGrory to return as editor of Boston Globe

Brian McGrory, who stepped down as editor-in-chief of the Boston Globe in 2022, is returning to his former role.

A memo sent to Globe staffers on Monday said he will begin in the job as of Jan. 5. McGrory had been head of the journalism department at Boston University since leaving in 2022.
