Can Dolly Parton, may God rest her soul, please have a peaceful eternal sleep, free from any evil nephews attempting to disparage her legacy? Because Bryan Seaver, Parton’s nephew and head of security—who announced her passing that fateful afternoon on August 25—has revealed his true colors. That is, he’s allegedly threatening to destroy her legacy and “ratfuck” Dollywood. Not. On. My. Watch.

In the video first announcing her passing, Seaver said that the task was something his aunt had asked of him years ago, before he “fully absorbed it as a future reality.” “It is an honor, an honor that is mixed with absolute pride and great sadness. But sadness lies with us, not with Dolly,” Seaver said.

But on Tuesday, news broke that Seaver has been terminated as head of security of Parton’s estate, and soon after the estate filed a lawsuit accusing him of threatening the family and “those associated with Miss Parton’s legacy.” According to the filing and temporary restraining order obtained by Entertainment Weekly, “He threatened that ‘everyone needs to be worried about what I might do,’” and told Ms. Parton’s entertainment attorney: “I’m not an entertainment person. I’m a killer.” Totally normal thing to say!

Allegedly, Seaver’s intimidation and threats began before Parton even died, and that he was “emboldened” after her death and after the video was released to the public.

“In writing, he vowed to ‘destroy the entire brand,’ [and] threatened to ‘ratfuck every [business party] entity’ that helps operate Dollywood,” read the restraining order, which was also granted Tuesday.  Jesus. For no reason at all, we’ll point out some nutjob vandalized her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame earlier this month.

After his termination and subsequent lawsuit, Seaver told TMZ that his words were taken out of context, but I’m not sure he achieved the PR damage control he was hoping for, because he kept repeating the phrase “I am a killer.” Again, totally normal!

“I am a career soldier and military contractor and do conduct arms deals for foreign governments. I am a security professional and I am a killer,” he said. “However, nothing in this lawsuit were threats and most of the comments I stand by.”

“A lot of these messages are two guys having rage talk and crying on the phone together while we were grieving.” Hey, everyone grieves differently. Some people make art, and some threaten to “‘ratfuck every [business party] entity’ that helps operate Dollywood.”

Hey, no family is free of the requisite amount of family drama, but justice for Dolly and her non-evil family she leaves behind.
