Germany will embark on a new chapter next month when Jürgen Klopp takes charge of his first ever German national football team since taking over from Julian Nagelsmann last month. The match, a UEFA Nations League match against Greece, had tickets that can be considered hot commodity, because the tickets got sold out in no time at all:
The fallout from the World Cup disaster was big enough that changes were made in the immediate aftermath of Germany’s elimination. Nagelsmann initially persisted in his position, but it became clear that it was untenable that the only logical solution was to resign his post with immediate effect.
Germany’s leading football association, the DFB, immediately identified Klopp as the ideal replacement and spent almost three weeks trying to come to a compromise with Red Bull. That came to fruition towards the end of July and Die Mannschaft now has a coach who proved himself at the top level with Borussia Dortmund and English club Liverpool.
