Police were looking for an assailant who shot a man in the face, seriously injuring him as he sat in his vehicle Friday morning on the West Side.
The man, 52, was sitting inside his vehicle in the 3900 block of West Cermak Road around 11 a.m. when a gunman walked up and opened fire, Chicago police said.
The man, shot in the face, found his way to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was in serious condition, police said.
No one was in custody.
Area 4 detectives are investigating.
