Monday is Martin Luther King Jr. Day nationwide, and the City of Boston will have a number of events to mark the federal holiday and celebrate the life of the civil rights icon.
Boston holds a special tie to Dr. King, as it is the city where he met his wife, Coretta Scott King.
Here are just a few of the events on Monday that will continue the legacy the Kings started here.
- MLK Memorial Breakfast — Westin Copley Place at 9 a.m.
- “The Soundtrack of MLK’s Life” — JFK Library at 10:30 a.m.
- “Day of Celebration in Honor of MLK” — Boston University’s Metcalf Hall at 12 p.m.
We’ll bring you live coverage on Monday, including of the 9 a.m. memorial breakfast, on this story and on our YouTube channel.
