The Boston Celtics came up just short against the first-place Detroit Pistons on Monday night, 104-103.
Jaylen Brown missed what would have been the game-winner at the buzzer. He was among the few bright spots for Boston, however, as he finished with a game-high 32 points and 11 rebounds.
The Pistons capitalized on the Celtics’ poor ball security throughout the game. They scored 19 points off Boston’s 14 turnovers.
With Monday’s win, Detroit extended its lead over the second-place Celtics to 5.5 games. The Pistons won three of their four meetings with the C’s this season.
