
How about that snow! Since Sunday, many communities in central and eastern Massachusetts have seen more than five and six inches of snow — covering yards, sidewalks and some roads.
Logan Airport, in fact, reported 5.3 inches of snow since Sunday.

While the sun has popped out, it will do very little to help melt the snow Monday night as temperatures fall below freezing. So, watch your step! Some surfaces will be slippery.

Low temperatures will drop into the teens overnight. A few flurries could develop tonight. Otherwise, we’ll see partly to mostly cloudy skies.
High temperatures will be up and down this week. Tuesday will be cold and breezy with highs in the mid 20s. By Wednesday, highs will be around freezing by afternoon. A brief wintry mix is possible late Wednesday night. Then, by Thursday, likely the best day of the week, highs will reach the low 40s under partly cloudy skies.
By the weekend, dangerously cold weather moves in out of Canada. In fact, this will be the coldest air of the season for Greater Boston.
Saturday morning temperatures will be in the single digits, and Sunday morning will be even colder! Feels-like temperatures will likely be in the negatives. Start preparing for this extreme cold now. Think ahead. Also, care for your pets, plants, pipes and elderly neighbors. Some snow is also possible this weekend.
