An elderly man was found dead after an ATV accident in Southington on Sunday afternoon.
At around 2:50 p.m., the Southington police and fire department responded to Mandel Drive after a report of an unresponsive male near an overturned all-terrain vehicle (ATV).
Upon arrival, a witness directed officers to a property on Flanders Street.
Officers located an elderly man who was unresponsive next to the ATV.
Officials attempted life-saving efforts, but they were unsuccessful. The male was pronounced dead at the scene.
Early investigations show that the male was operating an ATV with a snowplow attached, when the vehicle drove off an eight-foot wall along a driveway.
