Ms. Kelly is back at the Burleson Library, and she’s reminding readers that fall means cozy weather and spooky stories.
“We’re saying goodbye-bye to ‘Hot Girl Summer,’ and now it’s ‘Spicy Girl Autumn’,” she said in a viral Instagram video posted on Tuesday.
Ms. Kelly, whose real name is Kelly Clute, is no stranger to online virality. In May, her video promoting the Burleson Library Summer Reading Program turned into a viral moment on social media.
Clute works as the library’s circulation supervisor, and she teamed up with Community Services Director Deanna Phillips to make it a “Hot Girl Summer” featuring the library.
“[Clute] has been with us since January of 2018, and she loves this library so much that she gets talked into doing crazy things like this,” Phillips said when Clute’s first video went viral.
Now, Ms. Kelly has returned to social media, but she’s leaving “Hot Girl Summer” behind and promoting “Spicy Girl Autumn” instead.
“It’s giving, ‘a tote bag with three library books you will absolutely renew twice’,” Kelly said in her newest video. “It’s giving, ‘I’m just here to return one book and leaving with 12.’ We are reading thrillers and pretending we don’t get scared.”
Kelly’s video aims at encouraging more people to visit their local library this fall.
Their libraries offer everything from educational programs and technology resources to special events and spaces that bring the community together.
