What needs to happen is to portray the Rey movies as some weird Force vision by a sane and not bitter Luke so the original characters can continue their adventures in the many books available. This will help erase the failures and bring the OG fans back. Yes, I know the original actors need to be replaced, but new actors would be better than the Rey story.
