Four-vehicle Cahuenga Pass crash results in at least one hospitalization

Four vehicles were involved in a crash on Sunday on the Cahuenga Pass in the Hollywood Hills, resulting in at least one person being hospitalized.

Firefighters and paramedics responded about 6 p.m. Sunday to a crash at 2888 N. Cahuenga Blvd. between Barham Boulevard and the Hollywood Bowl, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.    

Four patients were evaluated following the collision, LAFD spokesman Jamie Stewart told City News Service.    

Video from the scene showed extensive wreckage of involved vehicles.    

Information regarding the severity of the injuries was not immediately available, and Stewart said additional patients could be transported.    

The Los Angeles Department of Transportation was requested to shut down a stretch of Cahuenga Boulevard for an estimated one to two hours, and motorists were advised to avoid the area.    

The cause of the crash was not immediately known.
