
One person died Friday morning following a vehicle collision at Powell and Market streets in San Francisco, according to police.
Police said officers responded to the scene at about 8:18 a.m. and found one person in the street suffering from life-threatening injuries. Emergency personnel tried to save the person, but they died at the scene.
A scooter and helmet were found next to the person, according to the fire department. Investigators were working to figure out if the person was riding the scooter at the time of the collision.
Police said a driver involved in the collision was cooperating with investigators.
