Rob Reiner’s children made a public appearance over the weekend at Dodger Stadium.
More than seven months after the late director/actor and his wife Michele Singer Reiner were killed, their children Jake Reiner and Romy Reiner threw out the first pitch on Sunday before the Dodgers’ game against the Red Sox.
Jake, 35, and Romy, 28, wore Dodgers jerseys and posed for photos with players Miguel Rojas and Alex Call after they caught the pitches.
Rob and Michele’s only other child, 32-year-old Nick Reiner, is still in custody and awaiting trial after being charged with the murder of their parents. He pleaded not guilty to two charges of first-degree murder.
The tragedy, which took place in December, happened in their bedroom on Dec. 14 when they were found dead by paramedics responding to a call.
Jake Reiner connected with his father on baseball, both being longtime Dodgers fans. He hosts a Dodgers podcast, which he returned to in May after the tragedy. At the time, he said baseball and the Dodgers were something he would continue to connect with his father “for the rest of (his) life.”
