A 51-year-old Putnam man was killed in a crash in Ashford Thursday morning.
It happened on Route 74 (Nott Highway) and Route 44 (Squaw Hollow Road) around 4:15 a.m., according to state police.
Police say a car being driven by Roy Anderson went off the road and hit a traffic sign. The car went through the intersection and into the parking lot of a Dollar General where it struck several safety bollards and rolled over.
Anderson was partially ejected from the car and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The crash remains under investigation.
