One man was killed, and three people were hurt in a crash that involved at least seven vehicles Tuesday afternoon in Huntington Beach.
The crash was reported at about 3 p.m. at Goldenwest Street and Heil Avenue, police said.
While an investigation into the multi-vehicle crash was still underway, witnesses said they saw a dark-colored sedan traveling at high speed on Heil Avenue before it crashed into a gray Tesla, creating a chain reaction.
Dashcam video footage from one of the witnesses also showed the moment of the impact before several cars began entangled in the incident.
“What are you doing? What would you even go that fast,” the witness told NBC Los Angeles. “What was he doing, going so fast, cutting off all these cars?”
Three injured people were in stable condition, police said.
Among those who were hurt were two Orange County probation officers, according to the county. One of the officers was hospitalized.
