Here is a look at how the Las Vegas Raiders’ 2025 draft class fared in a 33-30 home loss to the Buffalo Bills on Sunday and what to look for Sunday at home against the Los Angeles Rams:
Ashton Jeanty:
The No. 6 overall draft pick played 58 percent of snaps Sunday (well below his season average) even though he proclaimed himself healthy as he’s been all this season. Still, Jeanty continued to struggled on the ground as he had 10 carries for 22 yards. His drop issues in the passing game continued. He did have some nice moments, but overall his impact continues to be lacking.
Jack Bech:
The second-round pick is on the injured reserve with a fractured forearm and will likely be out for several more weeks.
Darien Porter:
The third-round pick played 79 percent of the defensive snaps and he continued to play much more than rookie Zeke Masses. So, Porter has regained his starting job. This can be a fluid situation and Porter has to prove he deserves to keep the starting gig. Coach Klint Kubiak said he likes Proter’s makuop.
Caleb Rogers:
The third-round pick took over for the benched Jackson Powers-Johnson and Rogers played every snap in his second straight of the season. Kubiak said Monday there was good and bad from Rogers’ performance against Buffalo, but the coach noted Rogers was prepared. It remains to be seen if this shakeup will continue.
Charles Grant:
The offensive lineman, taken in the third round, didn’t play on offense as usual, but he did log six snaps on special teams.
Dont’e Thornton:
The wide receiver, taken in the fourth round, is in the 21-day practice window to return from the injured reserve. Thornton is coming back from a hamstring injury and helps he could be activated this week.
Tonka Hemingway:
The fourth-round pick did not play in Week 6 because of a concussion he suffered in Week 5. He could return to play against the Rams and he would resume his starting role.
JJ Pegues:
The defensive tackle, taken in the sixth round, was active for the second time this season, partly because Hemingway was out. He played three snaps against Buffalo.
Cody Lindenberg:
The seventh-round pick played 19 snaps on special teams.
