Expect lots of sunshine Wednesday with temperatures soaring into the upper 80s. Readings will run nearly 15 to 20 degrees above mid-October averages across the D.C. metro area.
A weak cold front moves through Wednesday night, bringing a chance for scattered showers and an isolated thunderstorm. Most locations will not see significant rainfall.
Clouds increase and periods of showers develop Thursday. Temperatures tumble back into the 60s, making it feel much different from Wednesday’s warmth.
Friday turns milder and breezy with scattered showers and a possible thunderstorm. Much cooler air rushes in Friday night, leading to a crisp, sunny Saturday with highs only in the 50s.
