After the program’s best season in over a decade, Maryland women’s tennis has already added some hardware to its collection. Senior Aida Eissa won the Flight A singles tournament at the Bill & Sandra Moore Invitational.
Eissa, who was a key piece in the team’s NCAA Tournament appearance last season, notched her first-ever fall singles tournament win on Sunday. She did so in convincing fashion, dropping just one set during her four-match run.
Maryland’s success was not limited to Eissa’s title — it went 8-3 in singles matches and 2-2 in doubles matches over the weekend.
While four Terps competed close by, six other players made the trek to Cary, North Carolina, for the ITA All-American Championships. That tournament began on Sept. 19 and runs until Sept. 27.
