The Arizona Cardinals are 1-1.
If anyone had said the Cardinals would be 1-1 heading into week three of the 2026 NFL season everyone would say they are better than we thought/expected.
Instead, the Los Angeles Chargers were beat in a similar fashion by the Las Vegas Raiders, and the Arizona Cardinals put up one of the most impotent offensive performances in franchise history and the defense wilted under the sustained pressure from no help on offense in an embarrassing 31-7 loss.
It was 7-7 at the half.
Now, let’s not overreact to this game, was it awful? Yes, but their first game was enough to get a win and show that they are not the worst team in the NFL.
The offense was again not what we had hoped. While it was enough against the Chargers, against a great defense it was mostly awful.
The defenses biggest issue remains it allows the best players on the opposing team to beat them consistently.
Is JSN great? Absolutely, but should he just have his way with the defense? Never.
A lot to regroup with now to get ready for another big game in the division.
