  • TCU closes the non-conference slate with a matchup against Sun Belt foe Arkansas State in Amon G. Carter Stadium on Saturday night.
  • All-time, TCU is 4-0 against teams from the Sun Belt at the time of the game, including a 2-0 mark against the Red Wolves.
  • In the two programs’ previous meetings, the Horned Frogs claimed both behind great games for College Football Hall of Famer LaDainian Tomlinson. In 1999, the star posted 269 yards on the ground, and he followed that up with 140 yards in 2000.
  • Arkansas State’s offensive coordinator is Garrett Altman, who played for TCU from 2013-17 as an offensive lineman.

ARKANSAS STATE NOTES

  • Arkansas State is 2-18 in games against Big 12 opponents, but the two wins have come in the last six contests. The Red Wolves face a Big 12 foe for the fourth consecutive season after facing Oklahoma in 2023 and a home-and-home with Iowa State in 2024 and 2025. A-State’s last win against a Big 12 foe came in 2020 as the Red Wolves defeated Kansas State 35-31 in Manhattan. The other win against a Big 12 opponent came in the first contest as Red Wolves in 2008 at Kyle Field over Texas A&M, 18-14.
  • Saturday’s game will mark A-State’s 67th alltime game deep in the heart of Texas. The Red Wolves carry a 35-31 record in games played in the Lone Star State. A-State’s last contest in Texas was the 34-28 Xbox Bowl win over Missouri State at The Star in Frisco.
