Games Preview
IT’S HOCKEY!
Well…it’s prospect hockey.
BUT IT’S HOCKEY EITHER WAY!
The Bruins, Providence or otherwise, take the ice for the first time this season as they face the Buffalo Sabres in the prospect showcase. A good portion of this roster is mostly here to show their stuff to see if they can end up in Providence as opposed to Maine, but it will be an interesting game either way! There’s less space than ever for a prospect to really show his stuff this preseason, and so each and every one of these guys are gonna need to put their best effort forward if they want to make a case for themselves to be a part of the preseason roster.
Unlike previous prospect showcases, this is all against just one team; The Buffalo Sabres. The Sabres currently still have a pretty solid system, albeit one that graduated a lot of talent, so this will be a trial by fire for many of these youngsters. Every shift this weekend will count more than it ever had previously.
Will they rise to the occasion? Only one day to find out.
