After two long weeks of carrying the depression of the embarrassing Week Zero loss to North Carolina in Ireland, the Horned Frogs finally return to the playing field of Amon G. Carter Stadium looking to earn its first win of the season.
TCU (0-1; 0-0 Big 12) looked completely out of sync offensively in the season opener as Harvard transfer QB Jaden Craig was ineffective in his debut under new TCU Offensive Coordinator Gordon Sammis. Jeremy Payne was the star for the Frogs, rushing for 142 yards as the lead RB. The Frogs will again be without top wide receiver Jordan Dwyer due a lingering injury that has prevented him from seeing the field this season.
On the other side of the field Saturday night will be the Grambling State Tigers (2-0; 0-0 SWAC), undefeated on the season and outscoring opponents 97-33. The Tigers are led by QB Reginald Johnson who has completed 83% of his passes to start the season, averaging about 200 yards per game. GSU has four running backs that average over nine yards per carry, led by Tony Phillips Jr. with 100 yards and two scores.
