The Cardinals have unveiled their first unofficial depth chart for Week One’s matchup with the Chargers and the biggest surprise may be that third-overall pick Jeremiyah Love currently sits behind veteran Tyler Allgeier as the team’s RB2.
Team’s don’t often use a top-three pick on a running back to watch him play second fiddle to anybody, even right out of the gate. But Love’s ankle injury that sidelined him for most of the preseason is the likely factor here. This week. Mike LaFleur made sure to let the fan base know that, even if Love is “the guy” he may not get as many carries as you’d expect from the jump.
This looks to run right along with that line of thinking.
