Despite hitting .299 as a team and getting a season-high 12 kills from 6-foot-5 hitter Reese Robins, No. 18 TCU suffered three-set sweep at No. 6 Louisville on Friday. Robins, a Louisville transfer, hit a team-high .647 as the Horned Frogs (2-2) lost to the Cardinals 23-25, 14-25, 25-27. Evan Hendrix added 10 kills and extended her double-digit kill streak to 26 matches, while Becca Kelley and freshman Kinsley Young each had eight kills.
Young hit .467 and Kelley hit .294 for the TCU attack, which saw Rosemary Archer and Reese Wilburn each send out 16 assists. Alice Volpe chipped in six digs and Young had a team-best four blocks for the defense. Louisville proved difficult to stop, as the Cardinals hit .412 for the match and capitalized on 50 assists. The Horned Frogs struggles from the service line, committing eight errors while generating just one ace in the three-set match.
