Maryland women’s basketball has been well-represented in the 2026 women’s FIBA World Cup, with former Terp Chloe Bibby playing for Australia.
While Bibby has logged limited statistics thus far in the tournament, Australia has won both of its games and sits atop Group C along with Belgium. After hosting the event in 2022, the Aussies look to take over the title this year.
Bibby ended her illustrious collegiate career at Maryland in 2022 with an All-Big Ten Second Team selection. The point forward averaged 12.5 assists per game in her two years with the program after transferring from Mississippi State.
