FIBA Women’s World Cup 2026: Sonia Citron, Kiki Iriafen added to Team USA roster

Washington Mystics standouts Sonia Citron and Kiki Iriafen were named as replacement players to Team USA’s roster for the upcoming FIBA Women’s World Cup, USA Basketball announced Monday.

Citron and Iriafen will replace A’ja Wilson and Kelsey Plum, who will miss the tournament due to health reasons.

This marks Citron’s first appearance with the U.S. Senior National Team. The 2026 WNBA All-Star has averaged 16.8 points and 4.3 assists per game during her second professional season.

Iriafen participated with the U.S. Senior National Team during the 2026 FIBA Women’s World Cup qualifiers. The 6-foot-3 forward, who was also named a 2026 WNBA All-Star, has averaged 15.3 points and 9.3 rebounds across her sophomore WNBA season.

Team USA’s first game is Sept. 4 against China.
