ESPN released their latest Top 50 player rankings for the 2026 WNBA season. And three Washington Mystics players made the cut. Center Shakira Austin is No. 15, guard Sonia Citron is No. 19 and forward Kiki Iriafen is No. 28.
The top three players on the list are Las Vegas Aces center A’ja Wilson, Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark and New York Liberty forward Breanna Stewart, respectively.
While the Mystics don’t have any Top 10 players in the ranking, here’s something I found interesting. Stars on lottery bound teams like No. 11 Alyssa Thomas of the Phoenix Mercury and No. 13 Kelsey Plum, also of the Mercury. Coincidentally, the Mystics play the Mercury tonight.
In addition, Dallas Wings guard Paige Bueckers was No. 5 and forward Jessica Shepard was No. 16. That said, the Mystics are currently 7th in the WNBA standings while the Wings are 8th.
