The Washington Mystics clinched a spot in the 2026 WNBA playoffs after their 105-100 victory over the Portland Fire on Sunday.

Washington’s win plus a Chicago Sky loss clinched the team’s first playoff appearance since 2023.

Shakira Austin scored a career-high 31 points and added 10 rebounds as the Mystics shook off a five-point deficit entering the fourth quarter to earn a tough road win in Portland.

Kiki Iriafen tallied 18 points on 7-for-11 FG and grabbed 10 rebounds. The backcourt of Sonia Citron and Georgia Amoore combined for 27 points and seven assists.

Washington’s 22-15 record sits at seventh in the WNBA standings — just two games back of a top-four seed entering the final stretch of the season.
