3 people displaced after fire at mobile home park in Hallandale Beach

Three people were displaced by a fire at a mobile home park in Hallandale Beach on Tuesday, according to authorities and video of the scene.

Firefighters battled the flames at a home at 42 Coconut Avenue in the Eastwood Mobile Home Park, across the street from Gulfstream Park, at around 4:45 a.m.

The Broward Sheriff’s Office Fire Rescue said crews found “heavy smoke and visible flames coming from one mobile home.”

About 40 firefighters aggressively attacked the fire, and though two adjacent homes sustained some damage from the flames, crews were able to save “much of the two exposed neighboring homes.”

No injuries have been reported.

Three people were displaced, and one person required assistance from the Red Cross.

Fire rescue told NBC6 at the scene that the flames started in one mobile home and they were able to help a sleeping woman evacuate the trailer next door.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
