Man arrested in domestic-related stabbing of woman in Deerfield Beach, BSO says

A man accused of stabbing a woman in Deerfield Beach overnight and fleeing from deputies in Pompano Beach was arrested, deputies said.

According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, on Friday night, deputies received reports of a domestic-related stabbing in the 4700 block of Northeast Terrace in Deerfield Beach.

At the scene, deputies found a woman who was suffering from stab wounds, and she was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Deputies said the man who lived with the woman was not in the area when deputies arrived.

As the investigation continued, deputies later found the man’s vehicle in the area of East Copans Road and North Dixie Highway in Pompano Beach.

A traffic stop was initiated, but the vehicle continued going forward until it crashed into a fence.

The driver then got out of the vehicle and fled the scene.

Deputies were able to take the suspect into custody, and a teenage girl who was also suffering from stab wounds was inside the vehicle.

The two were taken to the hospital for treatment.

Deputies said the suspect was identified as 34-year-old Eric Senat.

Senat is being charged with attempted felony murder and premediated murder, Broward jail records showed.

NBC6 has reached out to BSO to confirm whether one of the victims died.

BSO also contacted the Florida Department of Children and Families as the investigation continues.
