The owners of a popular restaurant in San Francisco decided to start offering their employees a place to live.
The owners of Rich Table, an upscale spot in Hayes Valley, just opened a second restaurant, called RT Bistro right next door.
When scoping out the new space, the owners learned of an opportunity to also rent the apartments upstairs.
The apartments are now furnished, with utilities paid, and offered to workers at a reduced rate.
Evan Rich, one of the chefs and owners of Rich Table and RT Bistro spoke with NBC Bay Area’s Raj Mathai about this initiative and what to expect when opening a restaurant in San Francisco. Watch the full interview in the video player above.
