An investigation is underway after a man was fatally stabbed during what’s believed to have been a domestic violence incident in Miami on Wednesday night, police said.
It happened at around 8:27 p.m. in the area of Northwest 5th Court and 57th Street in Little Haiti.
Officers found the man with an apparent stab wound to his arm. He was rushed to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center, but did not survive, police said.
NBC6 obtained surveillance video which shows a man in handcuffs being escorted from the home by police. Moments later, another video shows the victim on a stretcher being placed into an ambulance.
Authorities said the resulting investigation is domestic violence-related.
Police confirmed that a subject was detained for questioning.
Neighbors did not want to speak on camera but said they heard arguing coming from the home. One person confirmed they heard sounds of a struggle and things being knocked over.
