Exact numbers are not available, but I kept bugging my Microsoft assistant for their best estimate. Fact: Tomlin was in the top 5 highest. Estimate: Steelers rank as about the 8th lowest-paying team. Estimate: Excluding Tomlin, Steelers coaches make about 3/4 the amount of the higher-paying teams. So, yes, Rooney is cheap. But it's not super bad. Nobody makes twice as much.
