An overturned big rig blocked nearly all northbound lanes of Highway 101 at Marsh Road between Redwood City and Menlo Park Sunday afternoon, the California Highway Patrol said.
At about 11:10 a.m., CHP reported the truck blocked lanes two through four, leaving only one lane open. About an hour later, CHP said the second lane was back open, while the third and fourth lanes were still closed.
The 18-wheeler with its trailer attached was involved in a collision with a sedan and both drivers were hospitalized with injuries described as minor, according to CHP Officer Sophie Lu.
Officials asked drivers to use El Camino Real or Highway 84 to Haven Road to E. Bayshore Road in that immediate area. An estimated opening time has not been provided.
Just before 7 p.m., CHP said the first, second and third lane were open, but the fourth lane was still closed.
