WVU Football Offers 2027 4-Star Already Committed to Major Brand

With high school recurring mow in full swing, the WVU football staff sent an offer to a top recruit already committed to a major brand.

In an effort to continue their Florida pipeline, West Virginia offered DeMarcus DeRoche on Thursday. The 6-foot-4, 207-pound four-star athlete posted about his offer on social media, willing to entertain other schools despite being committed to Miami (FL) since August.

A 2027 prospect out of Cardinal Gibbons High School in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., DeRoche has experience at both tight end and outside linebacker. He’s ranked as one of the top 25 prospects in his class from the talent rich state and also recognized as among the top 250 players nationally.

Despite committing to the Hurricanes on August 19, DeRoche has offers from Auburn, FAU, FIU, Florida, Florida State, Illinois, Louisville, Mississippi State, North Carolina State and USF.
