Man dies after driving car into creek in Mount Airy, police say
A man has died, police say, after his car drove into Cresheim Valley Creek in the Mount Airy neighborhood of Philadelphia on Sunday night. NBC10 was on scene when the car was lifted out from the creek at the intersection of Lincoln Drive and Cresheim Valley Drive. Police said the man died after he crashed his vehicle into a creek at about 4 p.m. on Sunday. In the crash, officials said, the driver was operating a 2005 silver BMW along Cresheim Valley Drive when he lost control of the vehicle, struck a downed guard rail and flipped the vehicle into the creek. Police said that after the crash, the man was taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead at about 7:05 p.m. A broken guard rail was also spotted at the crash site, which was initially thought to have been from Sunday’s crash. However, people who live in the area say the guard rail was broken from a previous crash. “This guard rail was broken prior to this accident, as far as you know,” said Karen Feisullin, who lives in the area. “There was an accident recently where a car went off the road and over the guard rail, and it was not replaced or repaired prior to this accident.” A picture on Google Maps that was taken four months ago shows the guard rail broken back then. According to PennDOT records, there have been 41 crashes in the area from 2015 to 2024. “This area is known for people driving too fast and a lot of accidents,” Feisullin said. “There’s accidents here at least once a weekend.” “Everybody speeds on it — it’s a 25 mph zone, and we just saw somebody almost lose it again,” she added. Police are still investigating the crash, but Feisullin said she wants to see more safety measures put in place. “Nobody likes more lights, but maybe that’s what has to happen,” she said. On Monday, Dec. 1, 2025, a spokesperson from the Philadelphia Streets Department shared a statement on the deadly crash. We are aware of the recent crash on Cresheim Valley Road. The Streets Department’s top priority is public safety. As part of that commitment to public safety, we are conducting a thorough assessment of the guardrail on Cresheim Valley Road. Other work in the neighborhood includes: Recently completed speed slots on Lincoln Drive from West Allens Lane to Wayne Avenue Future signal upgrades on Lincoln Drive from West Allens Lane to Wayne Avenue Recent installations and ongoing reviews through our city-wide traffic calming program. Ex-Pa. school administrator pleads guilty to secretly recording student
A former administrator at a school district in Lehigh County, Pennsylvania, pleaded guilty to secretly recording a student. On Monday, Dec. 1, 2025, former Parkland School District administrator Francis Anonia, 44, of Allentown, Pennsylvania, pleaded guilty to five counts each of intercept communications and criminal use of a communication facility as well as nine misdemeanor counts of invasion of privacy. During Monday’s hearing, a judge ordered Anonia’s bail revoked. Anonia was then taken into custody. On Feb. 23, 2023, Anonia’s cellphone was seized by Allentown Police in connection to the investigation of William Marshall, Anonia’s live-in fiancé and a former student. Marshall later pleaded guilty to possession of child sexual abuse material and was sentenced to 11 ½ to 23 months in Lehigh County Jail. At the time, Anonia’s cellphone was not analyzed and he never requested for it to be returned to him. More than a year later, on April 2, 2024, a complaint was made by a Childline referral request about Anonia during his time at the Parkland School District. After the referral and a press release from the Parkland School District, multiple former students and teachers came forward and reported inappropriate behavior from Anonia. Meanwhile, Anonia’s cellphone remained in possession of police and he agreed to abandon the phone during an interview with Lehigh County detectives on April 16, 2024. Investigators also received another Childline referral about Anonia in late April 2024. In May 2024, a Court of Common Pleas judge authorized a search warrant allowing investigators access to Anonia’s cellphone. During the search, authorities determined Anonia had secretly recorded videos and pictures of a student without their permission. Anonia is scheduled for sentencing on Feb. 12, 2026. He faces a possible sentence of 44 to 88 years in prison and will be required to register as a sex offender for at least 15 years. He will also undergo an evaluation to determine if he must be registered as a sex offender for the rest of his life.

Pair arrested, charged after person shot in Bristol home invasion
Two people have been arrested and charged after, police say, a person was shot in a home invasion that happened early Friday in Bristol Township. According to officials, a man and a woman — identified as Junell Osborne and Erica Montgomery, both 23-years-old — have been arrested and charged after they, allegedly, forced their way into an apartment in the Millcreek Apartments complex, located along Mill Creek Road, at about 12:10 a.m. on Friday. In this incident, officials said, officers with the Bristol Township Police Department responded to the unit after a report of a possible home invasion and heard a disturbance coming from inside the building after arriving at the scene. Inside, officials said, officers found a victim in an apartment that had been shot twice. This individual — who police did not provide further identifying information on — was taken to a nearby hospital where they were listed in stable condition. The victim, police say, was shot during an altercation that erupted after Osborne and Montgomery allegedly forced their way into an apartment. The break-in, police believe, came in the aftermath of an earlier altercation between Osborne and the victim. Police recovered a firearm at the scene, officials said. Osborne has been arrested and charged with aggravated assault, burglary, weapon violations and related offenses while, officials said, Montgomery was arrested and has been charged with conspiracy to commit aggravated assault, burglary, possession of a weapon and related offenses. Police said Osborne is being held in the Bucks County Correctional Facility on $1,000,000 bail. Montgomery is being held at the same facility as, officials said, she faces $150,000 bail.
