
A teen was killed in an shooting that occurred at the 1000 block of Powell Street in Norristown on the evening of Sunday, Nov. 30, police confirmed to NBC10.
In a morning update on Monday, law enforcement officials in Norristown said that 19-year-old Hamid Boyd, of Norristown, was killed after being shot multiple times in an incident that happened at about 6:16 p.m. on Monday.
Officers responding to a report of a shooting near Powell and Spruce streets, officials said, found Boyd suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
He was taken to a nearby hospital where, officials said, he was pronounced shortly after he arrived at the facility.
NBC0 was on the scene to find an active crime scene investigation just after 8 p.m., with several evidence markers visible from behind the tape on the road and the sidewalk.

However, police did not detail any motive in this incident and did not immediately provide a description of any suspects in this deadly shooting.
An investigation, officials said, is ongoing.
