He proposed a 50% ‘sin tax’ compelling the platform’s earners living in Florida to pay half of their earnings to the state. The tax will fund the education system, crisis pregnancy centers, and a “first of its kind” mental health czar for men. Now, OnlyFans star Sophie Rain, who is based in Florida, has reacted to Fishback’s proposal. Sophie Rain calls out 50% Sin Tax In a statement to People, Sophie Rain called James Fishback’s 50% ‘sin tax’ on OnlyFans earners living in Florida “the dumbest thing [she has] ever heard of.” She stressed that she is a Christian who hasn’t sinned and wondered how she would be charged a “sin tax.” Her latter comments refer to Fishback’s statements to NXR Studios. He shared that “sin tax,” which he labeled the “first of its kind,” got its name from the fact that OnlyFans activity was considered a “sin.” Rain clarified that she had decided to start an OnlyFans account herself and that no one had forced her. “So I don’t need a 31-year-old man telling me I can’t sell my body online,” she said. “I am a Christian, God knows what I am doing, and I know he is happy with me; that’s the only validation I need,” Rain added. The Bop House founder wasn’t least pleased about the bill. She argued that while Fishback believed his bill was the “first of its kind,” it would become “the last of its kind” after it hit the Senate floor. Notably, Fishback slammed Rain several times on social media. He once accused her of being “exploited” by OnlyFans. Fishback also threatened her, warning that she would either have to pay the “sin tax” or leave the platform. Rain brought up Fishback’s criticism in her statement to People. She said, “He is focusing on me because he needs the attention he can get at this point, which, honestly is sad if you think about it.” Rain continued, “He is first condemning what I do, but at the same time picking me out of the bunch to start some type of viral beef, yeah, no, I don’t think so.
