In reply to Chuck Anderson. I’ve always liked Matt Hasselbeck — a strong game-manager QB who also seemed like a genuinely nice guy. He was always my upper comp for Will Howard: both are average-armed QBs who are considered to have some of the same processing skills. Not to mention that both are considered genuinely nice, approachable, high-character guys. Hasselbeck was a successful NFL QB without many (or any) of the physical traits you typically associate with successful NFL quarterbacks. I always thought he had particularly good insights as an analyst which I think a lot of it came from the same things that allowed him to succeed as a player: preparation, processing, and game intelligence. I also like him as an analyst because he was more insightful and positive v. looking for hot takes. An extension of him in real life (personable guy).
