Broward County roadways are seeing flooding due to showers and storms over South Florida on Thursday.
A flood advisory is in effect in Broward until 12 p.m. for minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. The National Weather Service advises drivers to avoid flooded roadways and take extra time to reach your destination safely. Remember: turn around, don’t drown.
In Fort Lauderdale, authorities urged residents to use caution and call 954-828-8000 to report flooded roadways.

Meanwhile, the county’s Office of Emergency Management said in a post on X that “the grounds are saturated due to increased rainfall in many areas of Broward. How long will it rain today?
A stalled front combined with deep moisture has brought periods of rain in the morning.
Expect the rain to continue through the day with some breaks in the action for the evening commute—but it won’t last long.
In addition to the deep moisture already in place, an upper-low with slide over us Friday and into the weekend.
Rain chances actually go up from here with numerous showers and storms expected this weekend and next week.
That also means the drought is fading quickly.
