Paying him is fine. You want to give him 25 million per season based on what you think he "could be", sure ok. If he thinks he's a top of the market corner that's just to rich for my blood.
Again he's a good/young player. He deserves a contract extension. He's not a top 3 or 4 guy in the league and I don't think he ever will be. 25 million puts him squarely in the top 10 and is a more than fair deal in my opinion.
