
A woman has died and a suspect is dead after a shooting inside of a northwest Indiana antique shop Saturday night.
According to a press release, Lake County police and the Indiana State Police were called to an antiques shop located in the 2900 block of West 181st Avenue in Hebron shortly after 7 p.m. Saturday.
According to the sheriff’s department, a man allegedly shot and killed a woman inside the location, then shot and wounded a 24-year-old woman who was trying to flee the scene.
It is then believed the suspect died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound at the scene.
The 24-year-old woman’s condition has since been stabilized at a local hospital, according to authorities.
No further details were available on the shooting.
