A man is dead after a bullet traveled through a wall and hit him inside his townhouse in Danbury.
Officers were called to the townhouse on Lake Avenue just after 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
Police said a firearm was discharged inside one townhouse and a single round went through a wall, striking a neighbor inside their home.
The victim, identified as 37-year-old Victor Quispe, was pronounced dead at the hospital.
According to police, the suspect left the scene before they arrived and they are still searching for the individual.
Police do not believe there is an ongoing threat to the community.
